Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how keyboardtesting.online handles information when you use the website.
Keyboard input
The tester processes the key events that your browser receives. Pressed keys, test progress and recent keys are kept only in the page’s memory. The application does not send this input to a server or store it persistently. Resetting or reloading the page clears the test. Do not type passwords or other sensitive information while testing.
Saved preferences
Your theme, keyboard preferences and cookie choices are saved on your device. You can remove them by clearing this website’s data in your browser. Cookie choices expire after six months.
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, we use your email address, message and optional name to respond to your enquiry, based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence. Hosted form-processing and email services receive these details to deliver and store the message and may process technical data for delivery and security. The form-processing service stores data in the United States and provides a 30-day submission history. Its stated safeguards for international transfers include standard contractual clauses. Email copies are kept only while needed to handle your enquiry or meet applicable legal obligations. Keyboard test input is not included in contact messages.
Website delivery and security
Website hosting, content-delivery and security providers may process your IP address, browser information, requested URLs and technical logs to deliver the website and protect it from misuse. This processing is separate from the keyboard input handled locally by the tester.
Website analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website. It may process visited pages, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. Keyboard test keystrokes are not included. Analytics stays off until you accept it. You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Google Tag Manager is used to load the analytics tags.
Analytics cookies expire after six months. Google may process analytics data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Information about Google’s data handling and international transfer safeguards is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices and rights
You can clear test results with Reset test and remove saved preferences through your browser’s site-data settings. Where applicable data-protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to processing, request portability, and complain to a supervisory authority.

Disclaimer
keyboardtesting.online provides its tools and information for general keyboard testing only. We aim to offer useful, reliable feedback, but cannot guarantee that the test will identify every fault or confirm that a keyboard is fully functional.
The display reflects only the key events received by your browser. Results depend on your keyboard, device, operating system and browser. Some keys, including Fn, and certain combinations may not produce browser events. A missing highlight does not by itself prove a hardware defect.
This tool is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or repair. For persistent or serious problems, contact a qualified technician or your device manufacturer.
The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim express and implied warranties and liability for hardware damage, data loss, performance problems or other loss arising from use of the tool. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

This policy will change if the site’s data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
